Setting In League Matches
Friday, 16 September 2011 08:26

In all league matches we will be implementing the new rule for “setting”.

If the score in any game reaches 20-all, the side which gains a two point lead first shall win that game.

If the score becomes 29-all, the side scoring the 30th point shall win the game.

This is the score that shall be recorded on the official score sheet, i.e. not 21 – 20.

Teams will consist of six players, (three ladies and three gents). The mode of play is similar to that used in recent seasons for the Cup Competitions.

If a team is forced to play with an absent player, it is strongly advised that the number 2 player be left vacant on the score sheet.

This enables all players from the opposition to take part in a match.

If a club decides to leave the number 3 place vacant, this would mean the opposition player with the same number does not take any part in the match.
